Thanks for the pointer to this website. I very much enjoyed browsing through the photos, especially as I found one of my father and grandfather on there!

What I thought was most noticeable was that although many of them date back way before my time the places still looked the same as they did when I was growing up there in the 1940's/early 1950's. Unlike the last time I visited, about seven years ago, when so much seemed to have gone.

One question. Has Cefn a Museum? If there is I might go back again to have a look at it.

Many thanks for your interest in the Photos,and whilst Cefn Mawr does not as yet have a Museum as such,various projects are under way to preserve the heritage of the Village for generations to come.Ebenezer Chapel which you may know of,is under renovation,and the new building is intended to be the focal point for study projects etc.

I have enjoyed looking through them all and getting a glimpse of where my Grandmother's family came from.
