I am trying to discover whether the Widow Logan living in Tranent in 1841 is my Jane Logan Nee Brock with son Peter Logan brother of my gggrandmother Jane Logan.  Does anyone know if the poor law books or Lair books are at Haddington Archives. I am planning a trip to Edinburgh next year and would like to check this information.  By 1851 son Peter was in America and sister Jane was in Australia and cannot locate a Jane Logan who fits so she may have died.  Any help appreciated
