Blanchland Baptism 1765 Joseph Ward

Hello

I have a baptism 27/06/1765 of a Joseph Ward in Blanchland to John and Anne Ward; I also have some/all of his siblings.

Does anyone have access to Blanchland baptism transcripts as I am keen to know if Anne's surname is mentioned and what John Ward's occupation was.

They also had a son named Hunter Ward so I am surmising the possibility that Anne's maiden name was Hunter.

Any help would be most appreciated

I am "out of town" and so Blanchland church records are not within my reach.... but www.genuki.org.co.uk has Blanchland marriages on line  1853-1837

... several female Ward marriages and Joseph Ward 1760, and Thomas Ward  5 Aug 1769

Good to hear from you; I haven't been able to find a Blanchland marriage for John to Anne but it was more any additional details on the baptism register for Joseph I was after.

I have made an exciting leap back with the Wards last week and put them back in Northumberland.. well, just over the border

Dear Anne, I'm pleased to advise you John Ward's wife was not Ann Hunter, but rather Ann Newton! We're rellies! Would love to make contact and share info. From my mum (nee Ward) to John is 9 generations (through John's son Hunter). We had no known siblings for Hunter. ~Luke Harris

John and Anne's marriage was in Ovingham, Northumberland, England.
You'll find that on GENUKI also I've just found.
