Is this an Isle of Man Tie pin?
« on: Monday 09 October 06 13:23 BST (UK) »
Hi All,

I have just received a photo and I noticed this tie pin  - does it come from the Isle of Man - and any other significance?

Cheers

Keith

Hiya Keith,

It looks like the three legs of the Isle of Man but I think it's upside down. There's an artcle about
The Three Legs of Mann
on the Isle of Man website with a couple of pictures of the three legs.

Correct  -  the   3    legs   symbol   should   stand    never   kneel  .    "Whichever   way   you   throw   me   I    stand  "

Hi Keith  :)

I have an Isle of Man (three legs) brooch mounted on an anchor which was my grandmother's. I beleive I put it up on one of the 'Our Ancestors' threads sometime last year. I'll see if I can locate it.
