« on: Monday 09 October 06 14:23 BST (UK) »
I would be grateful if someone could look up the 1891 & 1901 census records for Laurel Bank in Grangemouth - I am hoping to find reference to a John Hannah and possibly other Hannah family members.

Hi,
Cannot be specific as to area, but found two families living in Grangemouth specified periods 1891 & 1901, you did not give DOB's, lots of other Hannahs but not in Grangemouth and only one member was actually born there.

1st.
John Hannah, Head, (24) abt.1877, Coal Miner, Polmont, Stirlingshire.
      Ellen    "        ,  Wife,  (23)   "   1878,    "      "    's Wife, Polmont,   "   .
      William    "     ,  Son, (1month)  1901,                 Polmont,               "   .
Living, No. 4 North Row, Grangemouth, Stirlingshire: 1901 Census:
2nd.
John Hannah, Head, (38) Abt 1853, Stationer, Bothkennar, Stirlingshire.
      Jane      "      , Wife, (40)   " 1851, Stationer's Wife, Kirkoswald, Ayrshire.
Robert   "      , Son,  (Eight)     " 1883, Scholar, Grangemouth, Stirlinshire.
Mary A. Croy, Servant, (14)" 1877, General Domestic, Grangemouth, Stir.
Living, Bo'ness Road, Grangemouth, Stirlingshire: 1891 Census:

     Hope these are of help.
                                            Regards,
                                                     Dunmac.

Hi Dunmac

I did not think that anyone was going to respond to my old posting but was pleasantly surprised when you did!

I cannot find a connection to John Hannah b1877 but the John Hannah b1853 is my 2nd gt granduncle.

Many thanks for your assistance with this.

 :)

:) Hi, Glad I could help, as others have helped me in the past. Clears my mind of my own brickwalls for a bit.

P.S. Had you found it yourself in the interlude between posting?
