In case you haven't got this, this looks like James and family in 1841 Census in Drymen. Everyone showing as born in Stirlingshire, except where indicated. Surname is down as MCAULAY:

James, 50, Ag. lab. b. Scotland
Catherine, 45, b. Scotland
Marjory, 15
Janet, 14
James, 11
Catherine, 2

Also in the household, not sure about the spll on the index for the surname:
Duncan Hellaz, 25, Ag. lag., b. Scotland
Agnes Hellaz, 20
Catherine Hellaz, 1
