Yes but Lucy was described as Channer in the wedding to Arthur Wright wasn't she?  And John mentions she was a Wright.  So perhaps the name got changed at that point due to the registrar getting it wrong?  And who is Mary Simpson?  No one can find anything at all about her and my contact doesn't remember where he got the name from.

Hey Andrea,

I just found this record on Family search as I was searching for Channers that were around at the same time as Lucy Channer - what do you make of this?

I was thinking they might have had a son - called John Nash!

Hi - I am a little late to the party on this subject but I am investigating John Channer 1699 my 6th great grandfather, and his sons John 1730, and Ambrose 1731.  There seems to be some confusion about which Mary is married to which John.  I have John 1730 married to Mary Wingrove (no dob) but I don't have a maiden name for the Mary married to John Channer 1699, also where does Lucy channer fit in?
Would be pleased to know if anyone has made any progress.
Phillippa
