Toddington death: Another KING
« on: Sunday 15 October 06 04:55 BST (UK) »
Calling Saddles, calling Saddles  ;D

Would you mind doing another KING lookup for me? The son of the other Solomon whose wife I asked about seems to have married three times. Twice in Toddington, where he was born, and a third time in Haynes where he is found in the 1841 and 1851 censuses. It's such an unusual name and there seem to be too many marriages in the IGI...

First was to Alice MORRIS or NORRIS in 1812 in Toddington.
Then Elizabeth HUMPHREYS in 1826 also Toddington.
Then 1839 to Elizabeth KING in Haynes.

So my question: Could you find Alice KING being buried about 1825 or so? And then Elizabeth KING maybe 1837-ish?

This isn't crucial. But it has become a matter of interest to me just in the last week or so. BTW this Solomon is the uncle of the Bedford Gaol prisoner whose picture you tinkered with for me. There was a Solomon every generation.

Many thanks, Mike.
Best,

Hi.

Toddington (St George) 21st Sep 1823 Alice King age 29

No Eliza(beth) in Toddington, or Haynes and only two other
possibles one aged 32 at Studham the aged 22 at Goldington.

These parishes are a few miles apart, but if they came from a
parish and were short term marriaed, maybe they were buried
in their home parish?

Thank you very much indeed, Mike, I truly appreciate your help. I've been mulling things over all afternoon.

Solomon became a nonconformist sometime during the 1820's. I think that probably accounts for the lack of records.

Again, thanks.
