Help finding a death please

I am looking for the death of John McAulay.
I have him on the 1901 census, 74 years old.
Mavie Mill, Kilmaronock, Stirling.

I searched on SP and found only one death, in 1916 86 years old.
I viewed the cert, but it is not my man 

I cannot seem to find him. Can anyone help or advise please?

I notice that there are two possibles listed in 1916  in Stirling:

a John McAulay and a John McAuley both aged 86.

Did you look at ?
