I am trying to obtain a date of  death  for John Bannister born 1843,Doddinghurst Essex between the dates 1891 and 1901, left a widow Sarah.
 Any info most welcome.

Could this be your JB?  Found him on FreeBMD, age is about right and I think Orsett is Essex.
