green family of bentley
« on: Wednesday 18 October 06 15:46 BST (UK) »
:)I have traced the Green family from Edgefield in Norfolk frm 1760 to when Bishop Green moved to Bentley in 1911.He and his eldest 2 sons worked at the plantworks for 2 yrs and then left. Bishop was a smithy and died sometime in the 1930s. He was my wifes grandfather and to complete the family history we need to know where he worked after leaving the railways in 1913 to when he died. Also if possible the date of death and where he is buried. One of his sons was killed in ww1. We would be most gratefull for any help. Any snippet of info would help.

when bishop came to bentley in 1911 he brought his family.
his wife martha, edgar percival (percy),hector frank (frank),eric william, gladys, victor and cecil. cecil was my wifes father. The oldest 2 boys percy and frank worked at the plantworks as turners but finished after 2 yrs. One brother is believed to have served and was killed in ww1. the house the family lived lived in bentley was near where the germans bombed in the second world war. eric, victor and cecil went to school in bentley until the 1920s.
