Two weddings and a funeral

I am trying to find marriage details for my g.grandfather George CARTWRIGHT, born  Swinton, 1858.  On the 1881 census he is living in Shipley with wife Hannah, born Norfolk.  I did find a family named EALING from Norfolk living in the same street  in 1881 and wondered if Hannah's maiden name could be Ealing...just a long shot.  My grandfather Bertram CARTWRIGHT was born in Leeds in 1886 to George and Sarah Jane Cartwright( nee WILSON). I have a funeral card for Sarah Jane in September 1887, but no details of a marriage.

Can anyone help me? I am interested to know whether there were any children born to George and Hannah?  Many thanks, Maureen

      I can't help you with this one. but I do see in your interests you list the name of Dickinson from Bolton on Dearne. BoD is not a huge place and I did know several Dickinsons. Not a certainty but it is possible that I may know some of yours.

Hi Denn, Thanks for your reply.  There seem to have been a lot of Dickinsons in Bolton on Dearne.  My g.grandfather was Thomas Dickinson who married Harriet Matilda Jackman whom he met in Yarmouth whilst in the army.  I have traced the Dickinson line back to Thomas Dickinson April 1779.  I also discovered a distant relative living in Thurnscoe whilst searching the Internet.   One part of the Dickinson family were builders I believe.  Maureen

Yes a friend who I am in contact married someone from "BoD" called Dickinson and is now living in Thurnscoe although her husband passed away some years ago now.

Hi Denn,   Your friend probably knows my Dickinson contact...she used to work at the local doctors surgery.   I am in West Oz too
