1861 Census
« on: Friday 20 October 06 16:24 BST (UK) »
I have been looking for a James Lewis baptised 1796 Axbridge, and I am trying to find him on the 1861 census.

In 1851 he was stated as being a widower aged 55 living in Compton Bishop and his daughter-in-law and son (Hawkins) living with him.

I have found a death record for an Elizabeth Lewis in 1844 Axbridge and another one in 1850 Axbridge, but I do not know if this was James wife Elizabeth :-\.

Could he perhaps have remarried at the ages of 48 or 54 respectively :-\.

I have found a death record for a James Lewis in the June quarter 1862 Axbridge district.

Al kindly found  for me his daughter and son-in-law still living in Compton Bishop on the 1861 census, just wondering if a different pair of eyes is able to track him down.

Any help greatly appreciated.
