Hello again June, I have:
Elizabeth Hughes, age 44, Died Liverpool, Dec Quarter 1924, Vol8B Page189
death reported by Isabella. So if you have an Isabella as a family member you may be on the right track. I also notice you have miscalculated her date of birth (1867), as she died in 1924 her birth year would have spanned 1879-1880. Hope this helps. Jim.
ps,  Do you have Elizabeth's maiden name?

Hi Jim,

Elizabeths maiden name was GORDON and according to her marriage cert was b 1868 and confirmed on 1871 census as a 3 yr old. Her father was George.
I know she died in her early 40's so worked out her death date abt 1911-1912.

Thats why I had the idea of trying to find her burial plot to confirm. Not sure what else to try  from here.
Kind regards Jim and many thanks all your help.
June

Hi June, another visit to RO, and found:
Deaths Oct-Dec 1914
Elizabeth Hughes aged 44, West Derby, Vol8B Page464, A couple of years out from her stated birth year, but the age at death is so coincjdental, it may be worth checking out,
unfortunately I couldn't check the St. Anthony burial records as  they finish at 1913, what a bummer, one year too soon.
The Parish records and details of burial plots for 1914 onwards are at the church itself, and you would need to contact the Parish Priest to see if he would divulge them, I beleive that many Priests now make a charge for this service. Best Wishes, Jim.

Hi Jim,

Wedding cert I have doesn't show Elizabeth had a second name but  these records you sent sound so  very possible.I'm  excited  to think that one of them may be mine at long last.
My mother said she thought  her  mum died at 44yrs but the wedding age and census show at bit out dont they.? I will recheck them now.

If I wrote to the Parish priest - do you know if buriel records show next of kin etc.Just to confirm I have right one. Also would you know postal address.

The vol8b page 464. Do they give any other information.

This is a great find Jim - thank you once again.

Hi June, I am afraid the 464 does not show any additional information apart from what I gave you. The address to write to would be : St. Anthony RC Church, Scotland Road, Liverpool L5, I don't know the priests name , not living in Liverpool any more. Cheers, Jim.

Hi June, it's been a while since last post. I contacted the St. Anthony's Heritage Centre for the information  to finally
find that they don't know where the Buial records are. They were deposited for safety during the war, but cannot locate them. Meanwhile I have been assured by the Archivist that they will contact me if, and when they are found. Have also found that Elizabeth could be buried at Ford RC Cemetery, Bootle. Best Wishes, Jim.
