Is there anyway of fiinding out who lived at 17 Churchfield st Openshaw manchester between 1914- 1918

If you can get to Manchester Central Library you will be able to look up the address on the Electoral Register and the Trade/Street directories.Both are on microfilm.The Electoral Registers have  street directories which tell you which film you need and which district the street is in.

hi i went to central library but had no luck finding the st i was looking for any suggestions please

Did you look on both electoral rolls and trade/street directories or were they missing those years?
The only thing I can think of is to try Salford,I've heard people say they have a lot of Street /Trade directories,(most are Manchester and Salford) but I haven't been myself.

i didnt look an electral rolls so i will do that before i go to salford thanks for the help
