Parish Records
« on: Monday 23 October 06 12:26 BST (UK) »
Hi there, new to the list but have been tracing my family history for 8 years.  Can anyone help me with GRESFORD research ?  My G/G/grandfather namely THOMAS HUGHES father of EDWARD HUGHES.  EDWARD HUGHES born around 1827 and from details on the 1861,1871,1881,1891 and 1901 census's all said he came from GRESFORD

Back in 1827 how many villages/hamlets came under GRESFORD or could it be WREXHAM!  I would be very grateful if someone could help.

Cheers Fran

Hi Fran
I am not an expert on Denbighshire but have you had a look at the GENUKI pages? Thsi link gives info on Gresford.
http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/DEN/Gresford/index.html
If this does not help, I suggest you ask a moderator to move your query to the Denbighshire board.
Good luck
