Augusta Elizabeth Neale nee Bolton
« on: Monday 23 October 06 16:48 BST (UK) »

 Hi
I am trying to find out about my grandfather sister Augusta Elizabeth Bolton she married James Neale
6 April 1898 at Batheaston church Bath.
They later moved to Wales.
At the time of their marriage James Neale gave his address as 3, Monmouth Street Saltmead Cardiff.
he was the son of Edwin Neale who was a postman.
In the 1901 census they had Augusta's young brother living with them his name was Arthur Hilton Bolton.
Kind regards Christine

So, in order to help what we would need to know is:

Their ages. Their places of birth, and ideally the refs where this record came from in order that the transcription may be checked against the original image...

Also, what were the (bride & her family)  details on marraige (since she is the one that you seem to be inquiring about?)

Hi Pauline
I have been looking through my paperwork to find their marriage cert:
James Neale born 1872 married 16th April 1898 The Parish Church Batheaston Bath somerset to Augusta Elizabeth Bolton
She was the daughter of Jane & James Bolton
Augusta Elizabeth Bolton was christened 1 Aug 1783
Her brother Arthur Hilton Bolton was chr 13 July 1884
I know that they moved to live in Wales later.
On the marriage cert: James Neale's
Job was a signal-man and place of place of residence was given as 3, Monmouth Street Saltmead Cardiff father Edwin Neale (deceased ) he was a postman.
Witnesses at their marriage was Augusta' brother James Bolton  and her sister Lucy Bolton.
I just wonder if Augusta & James Neale had any children
which would have been born in Wales.
Because James Neale gave his address as Cardiff I just thought maybe he was born there but I am not sure about this. Do you have Kelly's street directory for about 1898 3, Monmouth Street Saltmead Cardiff?
Kind regards Christine.

Christine according to the 1901 census James and Augusta
had a daughter Grace A Neale age 17 days born Cardiff.
Also on 1901 census it states James Neale was born North Vauxhall?,Wiltshire. The nearest match i can find to that is North Wraxhall,Wiltshire.I assume his job took him to Cardiff.

Best Wishes Welsh Lady
