Doe's anyone know of where you can search for details of who was the landlord, tenant, manager of pubs in WR,

Evening, Bodger, we meet again.

I can't answer your question directly, but have you tried looking for the address you want in the census returns? That will give you some answers for the 19th century at least.

Also, pubs and inns are nearly always listed in trade directories, along with the name of their landlord---a lot of them are online somewhere. I think it's a Leicester University project.

Hi Jon, I'm trying to find out who was the landlord of the Victoria Inn, 1935,43, I always thought it was my grandfather, John Edward Bacon, but new info tells me, that he may have been a guest only ?. By the way did you ever find any more Re The History of Hepworth ?.

Bob, what were the frequency of electoral lists ?, ie, i am looking at 1935 /42, were lists available in those years ?.

As far as I know electoral lists are published every year, no doubt somebody will correct me if I am wrong :)

Most local libraries should have copies for their areas.
