Seasons Greetings Norma,

I looked at Griffiths Valuation of Ireland which took place in Sligo in 1858.

Patrick Colligan, Sniggeen, Drumrat. Sligo was the only person with that surname in the county. I'm not quite certain where to look next but feel it would be worthwhile trying to establish whether Patrick was married, the name of his wife and whether they had any children.

Chris.

Hi Norma, a happy new year to you :).
You do not say what religion, yor ancesters are.
Now in the parish Emlaghfad there are two church's.
1 Emlaghfad,Parish Church
        Lord Edward, Street.
                    Ballymote, Co, Sligo.  Ireland.

2 St Joseph's Church [R/C]
           Ballymote, Co, Sligo, Ireland.
I do have a list for Sligo Parish's Baptism, marriage, Most are kept in the N.L.I.
  Mine are all R/C.
And Emlaghfad Parish  I do not have, so it make's me think maybe your ancester's could be another Religion. .
Lets know how you get on if ever I can be of any help let me know. Good Luck. Norma.
                               Lep.

Hi Lep
Thank you very much for your kind offer of help.
They were indeen Roman Catholics, my grandmother (Honoria) was married to grandpa in the church in Ballymote 1921 by a Fr Quinn.
