1841 Census ISAAC
« on: Wednesday 25 October 06 00:29 BST (UK) »
Would someone be kind enough to check for Edward Isaac, aged 68, in the 1841 Census for Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire.

I'm interested in confirming his age and where he was living.

Dave...

Hi Dave,

Are you sure he is still alive? I can not see an Edward of the right age anywhere in Wiltshire

In Bradford we have an Edwin aged 20 Drapers Ass (Not living with family) and an Edward 23 Shoe Maker - wife Maria 21 Daughter Eliza 1 Month.

Few others - The oldest ISAAC in the parish is Samuel aged 50

Sorry Kris  :'(

Hi Kris!

The Edward I was seeking (my ggggrandfather) is the father of the Samuel that you found.

According to the BMD index, Edward died in Bradford in the first quarter of 1844.  He was born in Lacock in 1773 and married in Winsley in 1794.

He must have been somewhere other than Bradford in 1841 (or was not enumerated!).

Anyway, thanks for your prompt reply.
