« on: Wednesday 25 October 06 01:03 BST (UK) »
I am looking for info on my 2nd Gt grandfather John Jennings Day he was born 12 Feb 1851 and Married Florence Rosina Milner in 1875, His father was Edward Day (born in Somerset abt 1817, died before 1861) and his mother was Sarah Jennings (who remarried after Edward's death)

John had a younger Brother James and John spent most of his life running/owning hotels with one being the 'Crwys Hotel'

any other info on any of theses people would be appreciated, plus, if anyone is related to any of these people I would like to hear from you

thanks

1841 - HO107/964/26 Folio 12  Page 18
Reg district - Bridgwater
Sub-reg  Huntspill

Submitted info from IGI

Edward Day

Mother:  Maria Lynham

************************

Marriages Mar 1851

Day  Edward     Cardiff  26 501

The above Edward Day matches the 1851 were he is with wife Sarah in Llantwit Vardre, Glamorgan, also a baker.  Son John is not on census with them.

Births Mar 1852

Edward is not on the 1861.  Sarah, c1830, Somerset, is a widow, with sons John & James that match your details.  Have not checked beyond this.

Deaths - Jun 1860

DAY  Edward   Cardiff  11a 144

Let me know if you want info posted, or any other census, thought you would prob have these census details with the info you gave.
