I was wondering if anyone has any information regarding William PUTLAND's parents. I can't find his birth anywhere online.
I assume he was born in Sussex (most likely Willingdon). His wife, Esther NOAKES was baptised on 1.6.1753 in Ticehurst and I have now found most of her family back but there doesn't appear to be any William PUTLANDs that could be him.
They married on 28.7.1806 in Jevington.
On familysearch.org there is a William PUTLAND born in 1726 in East Grinstead but that would make him 67 at the birth of his youngest child (48 at the birth of his first) which I suppose is possible...but I'm still not sure.
Any help would be great.
