Suggett/Suggitt family of Hutton Rudby/Whitby

Hi all:

I am looking for anyone who has, or will be doing a search of parish records of the Hutton Rudby area, as I am trying to extend my family back beyond my GGG Grandfather John Suggitt/Suggett, who was born c1800 according to census data in Maltby.

I have picked up his family living in Maltby in 1841, but information given to me has stated that the family were originally from the Hutton Rudby area.

Another mystery is John's son George, my GG Grandfather.

His marriage is a complete mystery to me, as his wifes maiden name, Whiteley, doesn't come up on any searches for a marriage to a George Suggett, or Suggitt, so she was possibly a widow and married under her married name, that so far I haven't been able to find.

Also, if anyone has info regarding the baptisms of George's children, I would be overjoyed, his known children were.

Hi Andy,

George Suggitt is my ggg grandfather's brother.

His parents were John & Jane nee Calvert.

He was originally from Hutton Rudby, Yorkshire. His birthplace was listed as Maltby due to the fact that the Suggett family probably spend most of their lives there.

His parents died and buried there.

I would have to fish my files on Suggetts--I think one Suggett actually was born there--not sure 100% on this.
