1891, 1901 Thomas C H Rush(a)ent mystery
« on: Sunday 29 October 06 11:24 GMT (UK) »
Thomas born 1859 Great Bedwyn last seen in the 1871 census at Lttle Bedwyn an Ag Lab but cannot find later until his death in 1926 in Caversham BRK.

Appreciate any help in finding this invisible man after 1871. He has alot of sisters and brothers but doesn't appear to be living with them.

Many thanks

Graham

:) Hi Graham.....I am going to have a look for you but just a little tip because of something similar that happened to me. My rellie was born in 1851 but was missing in the next two census's. After about a year or so of looking i eventually found him......His mother was now living with a new man and had changed all her childrens names to his surname :o. What made my search even harder was that when my rellie married in 1871 just after the census he married in the name he was born in and died (1920)in the name he was born in but just lived for 20 years in between in a completely different surname.....just a thought ???

Interesting thought Cheryl. Not  sure that this is what is happening here. His parents all appear in together in every census from 1851 to 1901.

:)  Have you the death cert for the Thomas that you are looking for as Thomas C H  seems to be born in Hungerford Berks in June 1859 and the Wiltshire Thomas is Thomas C in the 51 and Thomas D in the 61?so just an Enumerators error possibly. The death cert would show if wife was informant.
