Hi Vicky

Or should I say cousin!!!

It sounds like Frank is the son of William and Louisa Pilbeam, son of William Pilbeam and Mary Leaney, son of James Pilbeam and Bridget Reeves, brother to my 4 x great great grandfather George Pilbeam.

I will PM you with some more details.

Hi Vicky

Looking back through this thread, I found the marriage of Frank and one of the possibilities was Mary Ann Wells.  Could it be Wells?  That would tie up the wedding of 1908.

Oh Thanks. ;D

You're not the only person who has problems reading writing, I've been transcribed will lately, and you wouldn't believe the simple words I misread and just can't see any other options for!!

I have Pilbeam's in my Family Tree and was wondering if anyone could help me.  My great aunt, Minnie Rigate, married a William Hall Pilbeam Jan. 1, 1898 in West Ashford, Kent, England.  They had 3 children: Reginald William born 1900 in Dover, Kent; Hilda Minnie b. 1905 in Medway, Kent and Horace John b. 1910 in Medway, Kent.  Thank you in advance.

Hi Colleen,
Your best bet is to order the marriage certificate (2a 1081) this will give you his fathers name.
I had no luck in finding the family on the 1901 census but did find a likely William Pilbeam in 1881 in Ashford with parents John & Louisa.
He was born Q4 1872 in W. Ashford (2a 669)
