Desparately seeking........!

...... any information on an George and Anne Aston who lived at North Rock, Warwick around 1903 until about 1928. 
George originated from Shortheath, Willenhall, Staffs (Father Isaac) and Anne originated from London (maiden name Anne Mitchell Willis).

I have both of them on the 1901 census and proir to that.

They had two children, Rose born about 1902/3 and Lawrie born 1905.  Lawrie was their adopted child. (natural parents Arthur Lawrence and Mercy (formerly Marks)).  I have Mercy on the census, but still struggling with who Arthur was.

The Astons moved to Ealing around 1928?

I really need any information on Rose Aston and what happened to her and her descendants.

Rose married around the time of the family's move to Ealing, but apparently did move to London with her parents. She had a daughter.  Do not know the name of the person she married (possibly Legge??).

Have posted on Warwickshire board, but maybe London would be relevant?

Any clues gratefully received!

This could be a huge breakthrough for me if this is the right marriage

hi tracy,

i just looked on the bmd list for the marriage of rose which gave her spouses surname n thn i looked up his 1st name . i thn just looked in th births for records of any legge children born after tht whose mothers maiden name was aston.
i only had time to do my search up till 1940 so if you'd like me to look for the possible death of rose and family thn just let me know and i'll see what i can find

Thank you so much for all that effort!  I had completely forgotten that the more recent births give the mother's maiden name.

I am going to order the aston/legge marriage certificate today to confirm whether or not this is her.

I certainly couldn't find another marriage for a Rose Aston that fitted the time and place.
