Rootschatterbox Room

How does one get into the chatterbox room.  I have been doing instant messaging.
I use Messenger, but can't find your chatterbox room.

Maybe someone can help

Hi Berjan

Just click on 'chat' at the top of the page.

In no one is in the chat room, go and send them a private message to join you in the chat room

Have tried the chat box at the top of the screen, end up in a blank box with nowhere to type at the end of the box it says `float'.  A friend is online and trying to get in also.

That grey box should change to a blue box with your name in the middle of it and a box at the bottom that says 'connect'

When you click on that - you should go straight in

But, saying that, I cant get in tonight either - I am stuck on the blue box

I just entered the Chat room for the first time with no problems....  No-one else there at the moment.

Latest update I still can't get into the chat room!!!  Think I will give up trying.

We are currently working on a much easier to use RootsChatterBox - the current one relies on the use of having the most up to date browser and having Java which some people do not have installed. The new RootsChatterBox should work a lot easier, and work for most people.

Needless to say you are not missing a great deal at the moment - the RootsChatterBox is seldom busy at the moment, simply becasue of the number of problems in people accessing it I'm afraid!

Hi

Yes, the chat room does work; but not many people use it - they seem to prefer private messages.

If you want to use it, private message a peson and ask them to join you in the chatroom - that usually works ok
