1891 census - Jeffrey family
« on: Friday 12 November 04 12:10 GMT (UK) »
Could anyone please check the 1891 census entry for this family:

1881 census entry
Dwelling:   Royal Hotel 15 Oakworth Rd
   Census Place:   Keighley, York, England
Source:   FHL Film 1342038     PRO Ref RG11    Piece 4348    Folio 50    Page 33
   Marr   Age   Sex   Birthplace
Charles JEFFREY   M   24    M   Calverley, York, England
   Rel:   Head
   Occ:   Waiter (Inn)
Louisa JEFFREY   M   24    F   Bramley, York, England
   Rel:   Wife
Willey JEFFREY   U   6 m   M   Keighley, York, England
   Rel:   Son

By 1891 they were probably living in Queensbury. I think Louisa died in 1891. There were probably several more children including Gaunt Jeffrey aged about 2.

Very many thanks for that help. Sister Sarah was new to me. And 3 of the children who appear in 1901 are missing.
Any sign of Edith Jeffrey (8) born Keighley, Clara Jeffrey (4) born Queensbury and Ernest Jeffrey (infant) born Queensbury.

Any help appreciated.

Hi,

They won't be on the 1891 if  those ages are right for the 1901,

Just a thought,Mick ;)
