My name is actually Rebecca so 'Fosbeck' is a combination of first & Surname which what I am called from time to time.

Anyway, have not forgotten to check the database and will get back to you soon.

Great.  I thought I was talking to a guy :-[  looking forward to hearing from you, particularly now as I seem to be in a muddle with Braby's & Bravery's between Surrey & Sussex, so any information is going to be greatly received!

Hi Rebecca,
Yes I'm a member of SFHG, but I haven't figured out their email list yet or do you mean from the members list?

Rebecca,
Just received your email through SFHG.  I will get back to you shortly, probably with some extra news.  Didn't I tell you about Robert & Sarah Jenkins?

Jane,

Just to let you know, I have a nasty PC virus at the moment, so I am having to use public internet access.  Hoepfully, my husband will sort this problem out in the next day or so.  However, I did respond to your e mail last night before the PC completely went crackers!  Can't get out onto the internet and it is affecting my BT email account.

So, don't panic if I do not reply to e mails over the next few days.

Rebecca

Hi rebecca,
Oh nasty virus!
I did send an email this morning, here it is as you probably didn't get it,
Hi Rebecca,

So glad the information was of such help, it's so exciting when you get some juicy information that helps you over the 'brickwall'.  I'm going to be looking more closely at the Amberley Braby's, so I'll get back to you with my finds.  I'm pretty sure that the father of Robert (who married Sarah Jenkins) was Thomas 1718-1798 who married Marry Kent b. 1722.  have you been on Familysearch?  As on the pedigree resources someone has put up a pedigree for this line.  On close inspection, it's not that accurate, but a good starting point,

Hi,
The Braby/Bravery thread seems to have long gone cold.
Unfortuneately I have only just discovered it. Interestingly for me it appears that Rebecca (Fosbeck) is a not too distant relative of mine.
I have recently started some investigations into the origins of my family, as yet  I have got no further than online searches, but  I have reached a similar point to the start of this thread.
James Braby and Emily Augusta Smith of Brighton are my G Grandparents.
I too believe that James' father William has a connection with Amberley and Rudgwick but so far I am unable to prove it. My grandfather had always claimed that  his father James was related to James "squire" of Rudgwick.
I have been trying to find the connection between James Braby of Maybanks  Rudgwick and James Braby of Brighton. Is anyone in a position to help.
