William's age in the 1871 Census is 40 so making an 1831 birth, which ties in with his marriage age of 57 in 1888...........so somewhere thereabouts!

Pity we haven't been able to find him the 1841 Census with family (I've had a look and nothing jumps out). But, with the probable marriage for his parents in 1818 in Perth who knows what happened in the interim. There are a number of 11 year old William Morrison farm servants in the 1841 Census but hard to connect as they are not in Morrison households. Can't see one with an Ann and William Snr. that makes sense either.

I would like to say a big thank you to MonicaL and Justjean for their help and support. I have been able, via WILLIAM'S marriage to ELIZABETH AITKEN, to find out that his parents were WILLIAM MORRISON AND ANN(E) FULTON,who married on 11th July 1818, in KILMADOCK, PERTH.( Iam trying my best to build a picture of this area c 1800S )
