Hello Westoe,
You can try but I have forgotting how to open the individual messages ie private etc. also the photos are in box set up by my son in law. Perhaps he is embarrassed about not giving me a pseudonym because this is the second time he has posted the photos and you have not received them

Hello Terry,

Not to fret. It takes a lot of practice to do things automatically. We've all been newbies.

To see your private messages, such as the one that is waiting from CherieLynn, go to the top margin of this page, where it says "Welcome back, TKidd. You have ** messages, ** are new. Click your cursor on the word messages.

Next time that your son-in-law is going to be visiting, tell me ahead of time in a private message and I will arrange to be online at that time. He and I can message each other in real time and I can possibly help him to get them posted.

Cheers,
Westoe

Hello Terry,

First installment of instructions has been sent to you offlist, by Private Message.

But ... in your previous-to-this-one post,  you wrote:
"the photos are in box set up by my son-in-law"

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "box". Do you mean a zipped, compressed file? a photo stream?

That *may* be the problem - too high-tech for the RootsChat mass message bouncing system. I'm thinking that each image has to be inserted into the post individually.

Cheers,
Westoe

Further to my last post:

the maximum allowable attachment size here is 500 KB.

Is this  "box"of images larger than that?

Cheers,
Westoe

There is an image on this site of the Canadian Bank of Commerce in Kindersley, Saskatchewan, Canada where Hubert Grattan Kidd was working at the time of the 1916 census of the Canadian Prairie provinces. That census information is free online.

Hello Terry,

Do you know when Rowland Kidd died? Our last sighting of him is in the 1924 electoral register where he appears by himself - no mention of his wife.

Cheers,
Westoe
