Margaret Neilson marriage look up please

I wonder if someone can find a marriage or birth of Margaret NEILSON (born abt 1870? Stirlingshire) who went on to marry Esau CARMAN (who was english).
Sorry not much is known other than they moved to Ireland before 1907.

There are three births of Margaret Neilson recorded in Stirlingshire circa 1870:

1869 Margaret in Stirling
1871 Margaret Armour in Muiravonside
1873 Margaret Finnie in Slamannon

It might be worth you checking on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk  or the IGI for more details on these births.

Hi 

Thank you all for your help. No I'm not sure where they married and an added fact was that they were travellers so maybe it wasn't even registered 

I'll keep poking around and see what happens!

Have you got them anywhere on census?

It might well have been an irregular marriage - legal until 1939/1940 under Scots Law

PS have you tried posting on the Travellers board?

No they don't seem to showing up on the census and I'm now thinking Ireland might be a problem

I have Margaret Ann Walker Neilson born 7 Feb 1865 at Cumbernauld, Dunbartonshire and also Margaret C Neilson born 1881 at Falkirk, Stirlingshire.  Any use?
