at Ancestry - it's great.  They are letting you look free of charge for a while at the passenger lists of folk emigrating to USA and Canada from the UK.

It looks great - just a pity that they plug it by saying that "more than nine million English, Irish and Scottish people" emigrated. What about the country that provided such great Americans as Frank Lloyd Wright and Murray the Hump?
  I can see I'll have to set Hillary Clinton on them - her Welsh grandfather sailed from Liverpool in 1881, aged two.
  It makes me glad my lot all snubbed the temptations of the new world to stay here in Wales :)

Well Gareth, I quite agree with you !!  Trouble is, a load of mine went there and one of them was a real 'baddy' - expect a lot of his rellies were glad to get shot of him - ha ha !!

Update on this - have just had it pointed out to me in a pm that the pages on the passenger lists where you find your ancestor are 2 pages long, so do click onto the next page where you will find out a lot more info about your ancestor.
