BROWN of Dumbarton, Renton (early 1900s)
« on: Friday 10 November 06 20:21 GMT (UK) »
My gg grandmother was Mary BROWN.  She married William WAUGH in the Alexandria RC Church in 1860.  Both Mary and William were born in Ireland (?).  They raised a family of six in Bonhill and, primarily, Jamestown (23 Milton Terrace).  In 1911, William died (23 Milton Terrace).
Mary lived with a married daughter until about 1913 (33 Milton Terrace) when her daughter's family emigrated to Western Canada.
Mary then lived with a "Belle BROWN" at 24 William Street, Dumbarton until her death (age 76) in Jan 1916.  An informant of her death was her "nephew, James BROWN of 7 Thimble Street, Renton".

I have never been able to track down any part of this Brown family.  Neither "Belle" or "James" have been easily found.  Can someone suggest a research route?
