Robert(poss Richard's brother) had daughter Nancy and son Berrier -unusual name!
It seems one or two of them had farms of 5 acres -wonder if they owned land which was split into small farms?
Anyway-it was a happy ending for Martha -she got her man and her children got their father's name.

I've enjoyed following this "story"

Good luck with the yards of  "Gingerbread"

I know this is an ancient thread, and I may be going off at a tangent here -- but do you know who the Mary Ann Trant listed as a cousin in 1851 is?

So far, all the Trants I have found in Yorkshire have been connected --but I have no record of this Mary Ann. I cannot find her on any other census, or on Family Search

Any ideas / clues?
Wainwright - Yorkshire
Whitney - Herefordshire
Watson -  Northamptonshire
Trant - Yorkshire
Helps - all
Needham - Derbyshire
Waterhouse - Derbyshire
Northing - all
