Willowsholme,  can you tell me what line of the family from VF you are attached to. And where do you have your tree and is it viewable?

Hi Archivest,

Firstly I am a very very newbie at this genealogy malarchy. So far i have only been "connecting the dots with pen and paper", so to speak, so not available to view I'm afraid.

Secondly, VF 1891-1918 was my grandfather. His son, also called VF 1918-2002 was my father.

regards

OK message received. Send me a private message with your email address and you can tell me what you've got so far. I would like to know what your grandfather got his Military Cross for.

What was the reason for this award to Victor Frederic Gordon (7.1891) , Lt. 8 (s) Bn. Royal Fusiliers, KOYLI attached to Trench Mortar unit. He died of his wounds in 1st July 1918.

Also, where can I find out about his service record?
