Parish registers are now needed in this time frame. Obviously if you are in the Algarve then this may prove to be difficult!   

I noticed your surname interest (& look up) as my father has a good friend who is a Culverhouse in Swansea S.Wales.
There are 4 in the most recent electoral roll listed for Swansea.
