Hi All,

My uncle worked at the above station and I have looked on the net for any photos of the buildings without much luck - does anyone have/know of any photos?

Did you ever get yours of Altrincham Railway Station, Annie - I still look around but nothing of any use.

Hitchin was where I drove my first steam train - I was only 6 at the time and had a bit of help from my engine driver uncle!!
Glad there were no health and safety people around then!

Just shows Hitler was right in perhaps only 1 thing - catch them young and you have them for life!!

Have you looked on ebay?   There are several Hitchin postcards for sale and a couple of steam train photos taken at Hitchin which don't show buildings except signal box thingy.  Anyway worth a look and you could save images.
