Hello Betty

Have a look at this site

http://www.fibis.org

Enter "Parish" in the search box and you will find the marriage in Bombay in 1878.

Hello Barbara,

Just thought that I'd let you know that we have received Fred's marriage lines this morning, due to your information on FIBIS. They did tell us that it would not be a full cert. but only a record, but husband is very pleased awith it. Once more Barbara thanks very much for your help. We're finding Rootschat folk so very helpful. Problem now, who do I get to do the washing, ironing, dishes, cooking etc. while I play on Rootschat ? It's addictive.

Hello Betty P
So glad that you got a good result.  The FIBIS site is excellent and has links to Cathy Day's very informative site too.  I found both sites very useful when searching for my husband's East India Company ancestors.
As to your other little problem - I wish I knew the answer  ;D You could try just leaving everything until the house is a real mess and then do a massive clear up - your work will then be noticed!
