Imbecile asylums

hello  I am a newbie to this
can anyone help I am trying to trace an ancestor who was in the metropolitan imbecile asylum & schools in Darenth Kent.Her name was Harriet Wingrove it states on the 1881 census that she was here but no trace of her after this she was born in shoreditch london in 1861 How can i find out how or if she died in the asylum and if she was buried within the grounds or in the local cemetery please ?

There was a Harriet Wingrove, born abt 1840 a patient in District Darenth Asylum and Schools in Darenth on the 1891 census - but I haven't been able to find her after that or in the death registers.

Thanks ,hannah my harriet was born 1861 but are there any records that the asylum would still hold do you think ?

The age in the 1891 census is hard to read because it's been crossed through but I think it's 31 which would match the earlier Harriett.  It's hard to say if she has moved to another asylum as most are listed by initials only
