Maria Evans birth cert.

According to all census and to her mariage cert MARIA EVANS was born 1869 Gyffylliog. Parents Daniel Evans & Elizabeth.

Some time ago i found a ref.  Ruthin 11b363 for June 1869 in the free BMD. The cert that came back had the wrong parents.
Ruthin is the registration area for Gyffylliog

Cant find Maria on the IGI.or on th Clwyd bmd.

Have tried going back to 1868 and onwards tp 1970. No luck.

Any bright ideas from anyone as to where else to look ?  Thanks Poli :)

I have had a look at the complete GRO Birth Index,and in 1869 there are but two Births for a Maria Evans in Denbighshire the one you have described and one in the Corwen District.

I would say ideally not as it is only about five mile from Ruthin.Looking at the Census I would wager the Certificate you had was with a Father Isaac!

Yes the first cert did have Isaac as a father.

I may send off for this Corwen one anyway. Nothing ventured etc!

I'm trying to pin down her parent's marriage once again after a cousin pointed out an age discrepancy on their Marriage cert. We were pretty sure up until then that i'd picked the correct one and by getting Maria's birth cert it may help to solve our problem [hopefully]
