Hello again,

I finally got onto Kevin Asplin's site, and I've actually FOUND something!!!  AND I think I've been extremely lucky to do so.....

Apparently the WO97 Supplementary Series of records are some of the few actually online, and I've found a possible reference to my "man".

Looks like he was in the Worcester Regiment, as the reference is:

3209 Walter Golding, 1900-1913 Worcs, 6336.

I've now posted a thread on the Armed Forces board so that if it is available I might be able to track him down. 

Sorry, I'm a bit over-excited, as I've been searching for him for ages and the only information I had was that he was in "the army".

hi looking at the photo particually his boots
hes wearing spurs and the extra pieces on the inside of his bootswere to protect then from wear on the saddle ,
so i would say it is the yeomanry
