Registration District Aston?
« on: Saturday 25 November 06 18:04 GMT (UK) »
I have two births in the Aston Registration District in the early 1920s.  Not feeling too bright today;  I can't determine where Aston is.  I am confused by what I have read online.
Is anyone certain about this?

If you put Aston into the district field when searching BMDs, the entries are for Aston, Warwickshire only.  I did notice some up to 1911 at least.

Newfy - do you mean towns or Registration Districts?

It is that long chart on that link page that has me confused.  Which places do you think it would have covered in 1920/1923?  I'm not familiar with the geography, which doesn't help, I'm sure.

OK, I know I'm a bit dense about this.  Are all those little places on the right hand side in Birmingham, then?  Is this the city of Birmingham that we are talking about, or is there some larger entity?
I think it must be because I've never dealt with a city other than London, that has more than one Registration District, that I am confused.
