Does anyone know anything about an Army Band which was attached to the 38th Unit Engineer General Service Regiment.

I have heard that they used to play on the Weymouth seafront in 1944 .
Where could I find information about the Sherborne Unit?

Any ideas would be helpful as I dont know where to start.

I would like to trace one of the bandsmen from this band .
