baptism record

I am trying to trace the birth place of an Irish born Catholic married in Liverpool.
To have married in a catholic church (which he was in 1852) he would have had to  have produced his baptismal certificate which would have given the name of his Irish parish.  Can anyone tell me, please, would a record of this be included in the parish records of the Liverpool church where he was married.  I know that the Liverpool Records Office holds baptismal records for those baptized in Liverpool.
