My gran Sara Baker Stone born in Leeds 1860 daughter of James and Rhoda Stone. Sara was employed as a maid and dresser to Lady Onslow sometime between 1871 and 1881. By 1881 she had returned to Leeds and was living with her father and stepmother and employed as a tailoress.Do I search for Lady Onslow in Yorks. or in Essex?

The Onslows were a family from Guildford, Surrey. If you search the A2A site you will find numerous details of the Onslow family. Most of the family records are held at Surrey History Centre and no doubt you would find some references to the people you are looking for there. A lot of the records are on the A2A website so you might be lucky, however, there are files and files of stuff at Surrey, so not everyting will be on there yet.
