William Douglas & family,1871 Census, Falkirk

William Douglas was born in 1833 in Falkirk. He married Isabella McNaughton on 6 Dec.1861 in Falkirk. She was born 28 March 1842 in Falkirk. Their son, Hugh Douglas, was my grandfather.Hugh was born 6 Nov.1863 in Falkirk. If someone can find the entry for this family in the 1871 census maybe I will find some siblings of my grandfather.

No need to go to the census for that info....just go to the IGI and do a parent search.  You'll find this list of children born to William and Isabella there:

ISABELLA DOUGLAS Birth: 31 AUG 1870 Falkirk, Stirling, Scotland

ELIZABETH DOUGLAS Birth: 04 JUL 1872 Falkirk, Stirling, Scotland
 
JEAN DOUGLAS Birth: 06 JUN 1874 Falkirk, Stirling, Scotland 

If you chose to view the census the family is easy enough to find on the www.Scotlandspeople.gov.uk.  website.  They are in Falkirk and I searched on these options in order to include any variable spellings.....there was only 1 Hugh in Stirlingshire in the results and it's your family.  You will learn however that perhaps not all the children survived....
