Abbot(t) Lancs. WRY

I am trying to find members of the Abbot(t) family, they seemed to migrate between the Brierfield/Nelson area of Lancs. and the Barnoldswick area of WRY.
Would appreciate any help.

Thanks for your reply.
In particular I am looking for Joseph and Alice Abbott b C1800 who had a child Thomas b 1829 Heptonstall, he later married Rachel Atkinson. I can't find anything on Joseph and Alice other that being his parents which is on the IGI. They don't seem to appear on the 1841 census.
Thomas and Rachel had seven children. It seems they lived in Brierfield at least from 1867 - 1872 where three children are shown in the 1881 census as being born there, others being born in Barnoldswick. one of them Thomas William Abbott b Brierfield 1870 and married Eleanor Hodgson, I am looking for children of theirs also.
Any help would be appreciated.
