« on: Wednesday 29 November 06 11:50 GMT (UK) »
Can any body give me iformation about my ggg grandfather James Crossan.  He was originally born in Ireland abt 1801.  He moved to Scotland in abt 1836 to the Campsie area of Stirlingshihre.  I have him and his wife Rose living in Armadale in 1861 with my gggrandmother Mary and other children.  I know he is alive in 1866 coz he is on the wedding certificate of his daughter Mary and Neil Toy.  The information is when he died I have tried SP and there are several entries for men with the same name.  Any help will be grateful. Thanks

There also a possible death entry on SP for James:

1870   CROSSEN   JAMES age 51 @ ARMADALE   /WEST LOTHIAN   GROS Ref: 662/02 0009

And one for Rose:

1881   CROSSAN   ROSAN/ BROADLEY age 62   @ ARMADALE/WEST LOTHIAN   GROS Ref: 662/02 0002

Regards.
