Clarence henry stephens

My grandfather was clarence henry stephens who married Florence May Beckett.  On their wedding cert his father is down as Clarence henry stephens Theatrical agent and there is a witness of Gladys stephens (presumably his wife) - I can not find any more info on Clarence senior - I do not know his DOB, place or birth or marriage details to gladys.  My mother tells me that her father (clarence jnr) never spoke of his dad.
I have looked through WW1 records and found a medal card for someone the same name but no personal info.  The only Clarence H Stephens that I can find was born in 1893 Brigend (wales) - Not sure how I can connect the dots or move on any further - Any one any ideas or info of siblings etc.

Where did it take place, (not just county)

How old was the groom? (& by inference, give a guide age for the groom's father)

There's not so much to work on otherwise.
